I hope y'all are having a wonderful start to your spring! I had a bit of a buckle down and stay at home winter so I'm very excited for the spring! The start of spring also means the start of plein air painting season! Painting outside on a warm sunny day gives me so much life and I look forward to many of these days ahead.
2025 is shaping up to be another big year for me and I am so happy to have all of you along for the ride!
First up, I am in two shows in the greater DC area! I have five paintings in the NPAA (NOVA Plein Air Artists) show at Green Springs Garden in Arlington, VA. The Verdant Visions show is from March 24th-May 11th in the Main Horticulture Center. I am also in a show at the Burwell Morgan Mill in Millwood, VA called Art at the Mill. You can see four of my paintings at this show along with many other amazing artists, some of which are my friends! Art at the Mill will be open April 26th-May 11th.
Something big happened for me recently...I applied to be a juried artist in the Paint Annapolis competition and got in! You may remember that last year I competed as a public artist. This year will be different because I will be competing against the other juried artists and will have my paintings from the week displayed in a gallery in Annapolis.
Lastly, I have two paintings in the "Spring Forward" show at the American Painting Fine Art gallery in Washington, DC! I am very excited to have my work out in the world to share with everyone. It is an honor to be a part of so many shows!
I'm off to Japan for a watercolor painting workshop so check out my Instagram to stay updated and I'll send out a recap when I get back!
