Paint Annapolis
My first stop on the summer painting train was Annapolis, Maryland and what an incredible experience it was! I spent a full week painting all around the city and connecting with so many talented artists. The schedule was packed, with several smaller judging opportunities throughout the week, which kept me on my toes (and brush in hand!).
One of the highlights for me was diving headfirst into nocturne painting. I had never painted at night before, but there was a special nocturne category I couldn’t resist entering. I ended up creating two pieces, one capturing the boats glimmering on the water, and another featuring a lively downtown street scene. By Friday, I turned in all my paintings completely exhausted but deeply fulfilled. I was honored to receive a Merit Award! Overall, it was an amazing week of growth, learning, and inspiration.
Painting in France
In June, I embarked on an unforgettable trip to France. I began in Nice and made my way to Brittany, with most of my painting time spent in the beautiful Provence region. Our group, a fun crew of creative women, stayed in a stunning house near Lacoste, surrounded by rolling hills and lavender fields.
Our days followed a perfect rhythm: painting outdoors in the morning, a refreshing dip in the pool after lunch, and more painting at the house in the golden afternoon light. The views from our terrace alone offered endless inspiration. After the workshop, I continued traveling throughout France, soaking up sights, colors, and ideas for future paintings.
Adirondacks Plein Air Festival
My final competition of the season took me to Saranac Lake, New York, my first visit there, and wow, it’s breathtaking! The Adirondacks are full of incredible scenery, from mirror-like lakes to rugged mountain views. It was yet another chance to paint alongside a wonderful community of artists and to explore a truly beautiful part of the country. Everywhere I turned, there was a new painting waiting to happen. I was lucky enough to sell a painting at this competition surrounded by so many talented artists. I'm hoping to participating again next year!
New Work
With a summer full of painting adventures comes lots of new artwork! I’ve been updating my website with many of the pieces I’ve created over the past year, and I’m so excited to share them with you. Take a stroll through my gallery to see all the new paintings, or check out the ones currently available for sale.

I was awarded an award of merit at Paint Annapolis!
