10x20 in oil on linen, comes framed

This piece came out of one of those winter days where the sky completely takes over, big, moving clouds breaking open just enough to let light spill across the landscape. I was really drawn to that sense of depth, with the snowy foreground leading back into rolling hills and that soft glow sitting low on the horizon. The warm grasses pushing through the snow add just a bit of contrast against all the cool blues and greens, and I kept the paint loose and layered to capture that feeling of shifting light and air.
